FAQ

Everything you need to know about our honey, how we harvest it, and how to get it to your door.

Our Honey

Is Project Honey raw?

Yes. Our honey is kept as close to its natural state as possible, preserving its flavor, aroma, and naturally occurring compounds.

Where does Project Honey come from?

Our honey is harvested from our hives located on a pesticide-free farm in Goshen, New York.

Why does the honey's color or flavor vary?

Honey naturally changes from harvest to harvest. The flowers, weather, season, and location all influence its color, aroma, and taste.

Can people with pollen or bee allergies eat honey?

Anyone with severe pollen, bee, or bee-product allergies should speak with a healthcare professional before consuming honey, pollen, propolis, or royal jelly.

Why did my honey crystallize?

Crystallization is completely natural and does not mean the honey has gone bad. Raw honey often crystallizes faster than heavily processed honey.

Our Farm

Where is your farm located?

Our apiary is in Goshen, New York, in the Hudson Valley region.

Are your farming practices sustainable?

We never use pesticides or synthetic treatments on our land. Our bees forage freely across pesticide-free fields, and we treat them as partners in the land, not production units.

How do you ensure bee welfare?

We monitor hive health closely throughout the season, leaving sufficient honey stores for the bees to overwinter comfortably. We harvest only the surplus — never at the expense of colony health.
